ADVANTAGES OF GEOTHERMAL ENERGY

Geothermal energy is believed to be one of the most advantageous sources of energy. Not only is it a renewable type of energy but is also present in most areas, outperforming even some conventional sources in many aspects.

Geothermal energy has many advantages, such as being more environmentally friendly than conventional fuel sources such as coal and other fossil fuels. In addition, the carbon footprint of a geothermal power plant is low, which introduced many benefits including reducing energy costs and reduced pollution.

OPERATING IN 26 COUNTRIES

Geothermal power plants have been installed in 26 countries with over 1500 binary cycle power plants constructed worldwide. The image below represents locations of the larger plants. A 10MW plant as an example may run one Megawatt hour (MWh) of electricity across 6300 average Australian homes. This depends on many factors such as use and plant details.

Richmond Valley Geothermal Project

One of the greatest challenges of our era is to provide sufficient energy to power our Country, whilst preserving our natural environment for future generations.

The Australian Owned Richmond Valley Geothermal Project (EL 9545) sets to explore for low emission, renewable, dispatchable geothermal energy, which is available 24/7.

The general Project area incorporates the Richmond Valley and areas such as Casino and Kyogle to the East, Mallanganee and Bonalbo to the west.

Whilst the Projects mapped area is expansive physical activity is likely to be minimal.
